The Apple company may bring an audacious design to the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, according to analyst Mark Gurman. Although the details are still unknown, it was stated that the new devices would have “extensive use of glass.”

The launch of an iPhone made entirely of glass was a dream of Jony Ive, Apple’s former design chief. He was one of the responsible for the visual of the first iPhone, but left the company in 2019.

Besides the iPhone with more glass, Apple is also planning to launch its first foldable phone. However, this may come before the 20th-anniversary edition.

As the first Apple phone was presented in 2007, the new “audacious” model is expected only in 2027 — or in a supposed iPhone 19. However, nothing guarantees that Apple will maintain the same naming pattern until then.

10-Year-Old iPhone Was One of the Most Disruptive

When the first iPhone turned 10, in 2017, Apple launched one of the most disruptive editions of its new phone. The iPhone X stood out for having a larger screen and thinner borders, besides the arrival of the notch at the top of the screen.

Before the launch of the mysterious 20-year-old iPhone, Apple plans to announce the iPhone 17 line with its own novelties. The biggest innovation is expected to be the arrival of an Air model, with a construction that will fit better in pockets or other tight compartments.
