Starlink announces new plan with free antenna in several regions worldwide. With this novelty, consumers can sign up for the residential plan for 12 months and enjoy Elon Musk’s satellite internet for a year without additional costs for the antenna.
New Starlink plan offers free antenna
Although it’s only available in selected markets for now, the update to Starlink’s plans can be a great economy for those planning to contract Musk’s internet.
For comparison, in Brazil, the kit with the Starlink antenna currently costs R$ 2,400 in the standard residential plan. Meanwhile, in the United States, the equipment costs US$ 349.

As announced, Starlink still offers a 30-day trial in the new 12-month residential plan. This way, users can test or return the kit and receive a refund within a month.
If the consumer wants to cancel after 30 days, change the address, or transfer the antenna to someone else, the company emphasizes that there is a “change fee”. The new cost will be proportional to the month of the request, considering the 12-month contract, and will decrease over time.
Where is the 12-month residential plan available?
So far, the new Starlink plan is available in the following countries:
- United States;
- Canada;
- United Kingdom;
- Australia;
- New Zealand;
- Germany;
- Italy;
- Spain;
- Greece;
- Poland;
- Ireland;
- Netherlands;
- Norway;
- Switzerland;
- Czech Republic;
- Croatia (only for the Starlink Mini kit).
When will the plan with the free Starlink kit arrive in Brazil?
In the Brazilian market, Starlink offers the standard residential plan, which does not include the free antenna offer, conditioned to 12 months of subscription, not even for the Starlink Mini, as in Croatia.
For now, there is no forecast for the arrival of this novelty in Brazil, and users will still have to pay R$ 2,400 for the Starlink kit or R$ 1,799 for the Mini version. However, Musk’s strategy of expanding the availability of the free antenna to countries beyond the US may raise optimistic expectations about the launch in Brazil.
