The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon Z-A will be released on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 16, 2025. According to the company, those who purchase the Switch version (both physical and digital) will be able to upgrade separately by buying the “upgrade pack”.

There are expectations that they will reveal how they will approach the beginning of life on the Nintendo Switch 2, either through new games or the arrival of more titles on the platforms present on Switch Online – like the already promised Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, which will arrive at some point in 2025 on GameCube.
Many speculate that Game Freak will take the opportunity to show a teaser of the 10th Generation of Pokémon, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
