2025-05-22Facebook announces the end of Workplace, its corporate version. Amidst this scenario, Humand announces its entry into Brazil, betting on growth in the country: an alternative to Meta’s platform with an internal social network for companies, in addition to automating data between services.

The expansion takes place alongside the appointment of Leandro Oliveira as Director for Brazil and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), Humand announced exclusively to this blog on Thursday (22).
With this investment, the software developer aims at the end of Workplace, to be discontinued by Meta. The platform, it’s worth remembering, provides an internal social network for companies in the same mold as Facebook.
“When Meta decided to discontinue Workplace [in May 2024], we saw that our corporate social network structure had almost all the same functionalities as them, plus a simple, friendly, and easy-to-interact interface for the collaborator,” said Oliveira.
The Meta service’s end also motivated the company to equip its platform to facilitate user migration. The forecast is that 95% of Workplace’s functionalities will already be available on Humand’s app by June.
The director also highlights that it goes beyond Workplace by offering functions focused on human resource management, with modules for vacation requests, electronic clock, complaint channels, performance tracking, training programs, and more. The company also plans to launch an AI for collaborators.
50 collaborators by December
During the entry, Humand expanded to attract 20 Brazilians. “Our first direct investment was recruiting Brazilian talent, valuing local professionals with proposals compatible with the international market,” said the director about the investment for the debut in the country.
But the expansion doesn’t end there: Oliveira also details that the company wants to increase the team to 50 collaborators by December.
“We arrived in Brazil a few months ago and have reached the mark of 25 customers,” concludes the director.
