Dicas para Economizar Bateria: Quais Aplicativos Desinstalar para uma Vida Útil Mais Longa
2025-04-19JBL recently updated its line of earbuds and introduced the Tune Buds 2 and Tune Flex 2 to the Brazilian market. Both earbuds are sold at the same price range and have many similarities, making it difficult to choose between them. In this article, we explain the differences to help you make an informed decision.
**Design, Format, and Construction**
The main difference between the two earbuds is their format. The Tune Flex 2 has a structure with an external rod, which allows for gesture controls and keeps the microphone closer to the mouth. On the other hand, the Tune Buds 2 follows a more discreet style, without the “rod”. This difference affects how they fit in the ear. The Buds is more direct, with an intra-aural model that uses silicone tips to provide passive isolation and reduce external noise. The Flex, on the other hand, is more versatile and can be used with or without silicone tips.
**Sound Quality and Noise Control Modes**
In terms of sound quality, both earbuds have similar specifications and deliver equivalent performance. However, the Buds has a slightly better active noise cancellation (ANC) performance compared to the Flex. This may be due to the format of my ear and the fit, but I must give this positive point to the Buds after testing both side-by-side.
**Gesture Control**
Both earbuds have similar gesture control features, allowing users to select how they function through the app. However, I felt that there was a lack of versatility in the settings. For example, neither earbud has a gesture to control the volume by sliding. This would be expected, especially in the Flex, which has an external rod that could enable this control.
**Battery Life and Connectivity**
Both earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 and have an estimated battery life of up to 12 hours. In our tests, they proved to be competent in delivering this duration. However, with ANC enabled, the Flex has a slight disadvantage, with an estimated 8 hours of battery life, while the Buds can reach up to 10 hours.
**JBL Tune Buds 2 or Tune Flex 2: Which is the Best?**
With similar technical specifications, both earbuds deliver equivalent sound quality, with a slight advantage to the Tune Buds 2 due to its better isolation and ANC. If sound quality is your priority, the Buds is the better choice. However, if you prefer a more versatile earbud that offers the freedom to choose between auricular and intra-aural formats, the Flex is the ideal model for you.
Both earbuds are priced similarly, with a suggested price of R$ 599 on the official JBL website. Therefore, you can prioritize the points mentioned above when making your decision.
